Aleck is an audio and communications tech company. Their fundamental aim and focus is to conceptualize, engineer, and bring to market audio comms that fit into the adventure sport niche. So far, they are absolutely killing it and can already credibly preface the name of their company with "award-winning."
Where does the name "Aleck" come from? The founders of Aleck named it that after Alexander Graham Bell, who is the inventor of the telephone. Pretty appropriate, if you ask me, ha ha.
So here is a brief history of Aleck, so you can get an idea of how they came to be and, perhaps, where they are going.
The idea was born! The founder of Aleck (Stephen Catterson) was enjoying a day of skiing with the homies and, as he hopped on the ski lift, it occurred to him just how frustrating it is to not be able to talk to his friends while they headed back up the mountain. And, while we are on the subject, he can't listen to music on the way down the hill.
(In reading about Aleck's history, I imagined how awesome it would have been if I could have listened to AC/DC or Snoop or whatever else while I was playing football games in high school; I swear I feel like I would have performed even better, ha ha. So, yeah, I love the idea, Stephen!)
So, to make a long story short, the lightbulb moment happened for Stephen on the ski lift ride back in 2014.
As stated on their website, "LinkPro was founded. The first iteration of the solution to the problem. We designed a snow helmet - the LinkPro - with integrated audio and comms technology built into the ear pads."
The team launched a Kickstarter campaign to generate the funds to begin production of the LinkPro and get it out the people of the world.
Aleck (well, they were not called this yet, actually) was asked to present to the NFL; this was a huge honor and a very apt presentation, as they deal directly with communication from the booth and the team's coordinators to the quarterback on every single play.
The company is now officially called "Aleck." More importantly, however, is that this was the year that Aleck realized some of their earlier mistakes and decided not to necessarily pivot...but def. to change an important aspect of their product. Instead of making helmets capable of communication, listening to music, etc., etc., they would, instead, make a "universally compatible bluetooth headphone system to fit any audio-ready snow helmet." And this is when their first product was born: the Aleck 006. A stand-alone system you can put into virtually any helmet and be able to communication with the homies, rock out, and so on & so forth.
2018 was a busy year for Aleck, as the next big update was creating their Aleck Go! app for mobile devices.
Next, they landed a strategic partnership with one of the world's largest helmet manufacturers: Smith. This led to a dope collaboration between the two companies for a stellar co-branded audio and comms product.
Aleck landed a huge deal to have their products sold in the biggest outdoors and sports equipment store there is: REI. They are now in more than 120 stores!
Aleck made the "Best Snowboarding Gadgets for 2020" list from The Verge with the Aleck 006. This added rocket fuel to their growth almost immediately.
I mentioned earlier that Aleck is "award winning." This is the year that became a reality; they won an ISPO award in the Snowsports Equipment category. For those of you who do not know, this is a big deal and garners a lot of clout for Aleck. Even more than The Verge article, probably.
And, even now, Aleck is still forging ahead with innovation to the Aleck 006 and new, disrupting products are in the pipeline, as well! So stay tuned to see what comes next, for sure.

Below are some helpful hints and questions answered from Aleck. These and more can be found at their FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section on their site.
So, as you can see, there are some great insights to the more common questions that are coming up a lot with users. Explore those and more, again, at the Aleck website on their FAQ page.
Aleck has set up two main ways to formerly connect with their users, should y'all need help, have a question, or just want to holler for fun. Below are those methods. Oh, and remember, any form of contact with Aleck (or any company, for that matter) is going to start on their Contact Us page; from that general hub, everything else sort of branches out. Make sense? Great.
Fill out your name, email address, country, your message, and click the "SEND MESSAGE" button. Give the Aleck customer service team 24 to 72 hours to respond (business hours, that is), although they are typically going to reply on the shorter end of that spectrum.
You can send an email to [email protected]. This is basically the exact same thing as the contact form, but you are sending it via your own email address as opposed to the contact form, which is sent via the Aleck website. The same support team is fielding emails as those who work the contact form messages, so the response time should be the exact same. (Everything probably goes into a queue and is worked chronologically.)
So, there are the two listed ways to get in contact with Aleck for all the help the FAQ, perhaps, was not able to provide. Below, there we will go over some more informal ways to connect with Aleck (i.e., social media).
Looking for a more informal way to get in touch with Aleck (and/or their community)? Look no further. Below are their socials with links.
Get over to those and join the conversation, get recommendations, and be part of the Aleck community!
An Aleck coupon is basically no different than a traditional coupon. It is a mechanism for saving money when you purchase something. In this case, that something is from Aleck. That is really all you need to know, in terms of a high-level overview.
Keep in mind, you may see different terminology online, so don't let that confuse you. Some examples are Aleck coupon, Aleck coupon code, Aleck discount code, Aleck promo code, Aleck referral code, and the list goes on. The important thing to remember is that these are all synonyms; they mean the exact same thing.
Make sense? For a slightly deeper dive into how to use an Aleck discount code, check out the next section.
Below are some fairly specific instructions on how to use an Aleck coupon code, but they are still general enough, if you have never done this before, that you can apply these to other stores, as well.
That is all there is to it! Pretty easy, right?!
I am intrigued by this product and by Aleck, in general. They are growing fast and have an extremely passionate community. Putting a comms unit into a helmet and making it easy to use during some type of athletic endeavor is just a great idea. I can only imagine Aleck getting into motorcycle helmets (and the like) in the future!
What I do know is that they are a upward bound and doing big things. They have a great customer service dept. and mgmt. team. Whenever a company is formed out of an idea that is solving a real problem, that is the most organic form of capitalism their is. The pure kind that is uncorrupted. I look forward to seeing where Aleck goes from here.
What I can tell you is that this gets a high recommend from me. The ski and snowboard communities are in agreement that this product is rad, and I am not one to act like I know better than them, ya know?!
Remember, get your Aleck coupon code here at ShipTheDeal before making your purchase; that way you can save some scrilly and maybe buy one for your friends and/or family, too. With that said, I appreciate you reading this review, we love ya, and happy shopping!
